Return of the Jedi got a lot right, but made some crucial mistakes, and while it's nowhere near as divisive as The Rise of Skywalker, it certainly left Star Wars fans with an awful lot to talk about. To fill that Star Wars shaped void in your lives, we're continuing to look back at the Skywalker Saga, and after delving into those divisive prequels, A New Hope, and The Empire Strikes Back, we've now reached the final chapter in George Lucas' master plan before he sold Lucasfilm to Disney, and they delivered their own take on his planned seventh, eighth, and ninth instalments. However, neither of those have release dates, and it seems Lucasfilm is focusing on bringing this franchise to the small screen instead (courtesy of the recently launched Disney+ streaming service). The future of the franchise is also uncertain, with Rian Johnson reportedly still working on a trilogy and Taika Waititi recently announced as the director of an untitled adventure.

Man, it does not get much better than this. I have no issue calling this his best film score, to date. As wonderfully iconic as his original themes were, the Love theme, Yoda’s theme, The Asteroid Chase music, and the IMPERIAL MARCH were better. The Maestro John Williams wrote his BEST Star Wars music here. Together with Larry Kasdan, writer (Right) they crafted one of the greatest films ever made. The fifth film will use the original unaltered audio and footage for Star Wars Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back. Guiding the ship was Irvin Kerschner, Director (left) and Gary Kurtz, Producer (center-left). The fourth film will use the Adywans Star Wars Revisited Edition audio and footage for Star Wars Episode 4: A New Hope. Lucas’ imagination was on point here, completely unleashed. Using the newfound talents developed on the original, the cast and crew used their increased budget to realize something amazing- a sequel that exceeds the original. As great as the new films could be, they won’t top this. Sayce was dissatisfiéd with the coIor mapping of thé 2004 DVD release of the Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition. It attempts tó keep the fiIm closest in Iine to the originaI, while still máking the critical coIor and continuity corréctions. The true star of the film is Willrow Hood, the guy evacuating Cloud City with his ice cream maker. It is considéred the completed finaI cut of Stár Wars Episode lV: A New Hopé Revisited. Glover can by seen today on Game of Thrones, Colley is active in the UK, and Sheard passed in 2005. I’ve met all 3 of these men and they played the perfect Imperial commanders. Of particular note are the trio of Michael Sheard (Ozzel), Ken Colley (Piett), and Julian Glover (Veers). In the end, Lando makes good and saves Leia and Chewbacca, but the real MVP is Lobot. Fisher’s best work in the series, to date.Īh, Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian- Governor of Cloud City, betrayer of Han Solo. She blasts her way out of danger and gives in to her desire for more from life in the form of her romance with Solo. Leia sheds the Damsel in distress act and shows herself as a true leader and warrior against the darkness of the Empire. “I Know” One of the greatest lines in film history.
struggling against his mercenary nature, Solo discovers the love of Princess Leia as he faces betrayal and Carbon freezing. Harrison Ford achieves his high point as Han Solo, so far, in this film as well. His desire to become a Jedi is put against his devotion to his friends, all the while the spectre of Vader looms over him. Luke faces some real tribulations in this episode. There, they are captured by Darth Vader who uses them as bait to lure Luke Skywalker to his destiny… Han and Leia evade the Imperials and find their way to Cloud City on the planet Bespin. Luke travels to Dagobah to learn from the ancient Jedi Master Yoda.
